Indian Pakwan Reviews
I'm picky about Indian food here. I know some like it hot and greasy, but not me. This has homestyle food not too rich or spicy. And they have a variety of food to pick from.
The dishes were awesome- all of them. I could not choose any one dish, so I dish of each one of the curries. The service was excellent. The servers Sunita and Gurpreet were very courteous and excellent in respecting our choices and helped us in our selections. I plan to make more trips to this restaurant.
Visited here today for parantha’s and the experience was awesome. Really good, tasty and freshly prepared parantha’s. Had Aloo and Gobhi with Masala tea.
I've been a loyal customer of Indian Palawan (formerly known as Brar's) for as long as I can remember—since I was a young child. The food and customer service have always been exceptional. The Thali is my absolute favorite—consistently delicious and satisfying. I also love the spicy Chilli Paneer curry, the Chana (chickpea) curry, Palak Paneer, and the rich, flavorful Shahi Paneer. The Chana Samosa is another must-try—crispy and packed with flavor. The staff here are always kind, compassionate, and incredibly friendly. The ladies who serve are warm and welcoming, making every visit feel like coming home. It's rare to find a place that maintains such high quality in both food and service over the years, and Indian Pakwan does it with grace. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Indian vegetarian cuisine!
I've been coming to Brar's (now known as Indian Pakwan - same owners) since I was in a stroller - one of my favourite places for Indian food and sweets. All vegetarian options, and always so tasty. Me and my family come at least a few times a month!
I really enjoyed my visits to Brars. Excellent selection of Indian sweets and variety of food. Can also get gift boxes for sweets. We typically get thali (several choices to choose from). Cholle bature are fresh and hot. Samosas are at a good price and are a favorite. They include chutney with samosa.
The food was amazing, the cashier was polite. I was a little bit confused but she helped me with deciding the best dish for me as per my taste. must go if you wanna have a good time with your family.
I came here based on a friend’s recommendation and it did not disappoint. I was told the flavour has stayed consistently delicious over the years, and the price is also affordable - about 12 for a 3-curry dish with rice and dessert (same price for 4-curry and no dessert option), 3 for a basket of fresh naan. Easy to share between two people with average appetites, as the naan and curry are filling. Cantonese saying for this type of spot is 平靚正. For myself, with mild-moderate spice tolerance, I felt the curries were all made to a good amount of spice where it was flavourful and enjoyable. I would definitely come here again to try more of the curries and likely get a repeat serving of the lentil curry and okra. Sugar cane juice and sweet lassi were also good. Booth seating is comfortable and the space is clean, with water available at the self-serve station for no additional cost.
